This editorial was based off my original Type Portrait design. For this editorial, I wanted it to be about Selena Gomez's newest album, Rare. This album was about her overcoming a heartbreak she's dealt with for years. Her past relationship had always been in the public eye as well as everything else about her life as she was growing up. Rare was about how she found her strength and confidence again in herself and her journey to empowerment.
I added some more color to my original Type Portrait design to make it more vibrant. The next page shows several news articles on her, her life, her relationships, and more. I made it all black and white to depict its irrelevance now that she had really found stability within herself. That new found strength and her album was discussed in the overlaid text establishing its importance.
